| East Coast / West Coast: Call for Submissions |
Through the imagination we can truly see where we live, but sometimes it’s illuminating to see ourselves through the eyes of others — especially through those trained on us from afar.
In the fall of 2012, The Malahat Review and The Fiddlehead will celebrate the writing of each other’s regions, with the former publishing an East Coast issue and the latter a West Coast issue. Writers with strong connections to either or both regions are invited to submit to the issue that will best provide it the most apt and safe harbour.
To mark the publication of these issues, The Malahat Review and The Fiddlehead will also launch a joint website where web surfers can also engage in the convergences and differences in the literatures of two of Canada’s remarkable coastlines. Proposals for web content are invited and may be sent to either or both magazines. |
